I felt the desire to start an electronics project as I had little experience designing PCB's. It was important for my motivation to create a product that would be atleast somewhat useful to me. When I looked online for inspiration, I saw a large amount of hobby electronics projects related to IoT and home automation. This prompted me to just look around my appartment and think of a product that could have value in my daily life. I dont water my plants regularly and often forget to do it. If there was a product that would let me know when it was needed, my plants would be happier.
